Titan Chain Tire Chains Review - 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Titan Chain Diamond HD snow tire chains and I'll also show you how to install them here on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. These tire chains are gonna be the heavy duty version of the Titan Chain diamond alloy snow chains. So that means they're gonna have larger links for more traction, which is awesome, except you do have to be very careful about which type of tire and wheel you have on your Silverado 2500 because there are brake components and suspension components back there that may not give you much clearance to work with. So double check yours. Our tire size today is 275/65 R20, which is the one with limited clearance, but it also depends on the truck. So if you have a different tire size, you may have better chances with those. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline, and today we're gonna be taking a look at how to install as well as discuss the different features of this Titan Chain Diamond Snow Tire Chains. We're gonna see how it fits here on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. This is probably gonna be one of my favorite chains to recommend because it's very easy to install, as well as it has some solid features there that give you great traction in snowy conditions. Now, double check your tire size though, on your Silverado, just because we have higher size 275/65R20, and according to the owner's manual, this has limited wheel clearance, behind the tire, so you do have to get or be very intentional about what type of traction devices you use. If you do have to use tire chains, install them on that rear axle, these are gonna be very small chain sizes, which is why I feel a bit more comfortable with recommending them. But also for emergency situations, some places require that you have chains in your truck and these are gonna be very fast to put on, which is why I also recommend them. more

These are gonna be some beefy, bulky premium tire chains, great for if you need extra, extra traction. Now be very careful with tire chains though because you have to make sure you have enough clearance behind your tire on your truck. So depending on your truck and how things are situated back here, these may or may not be a good fit for you. more

Titan Chain Tire Chains Review - 2023 Chevrolet Blazer- Video
Hi, Matt with Etrailer, and today when we talk about the Titan Chain's assisted tire chains on our 2023 Chevrolet Blazer, and today we're gonna have 'em on our front axle as per what the manual recommends, and our tire size is gonna be 235, 65, R18. Now, the first thing I'd recommend doing is when you do get your tire chains is just kinda laying them out, maybe in your garage or a flat surface, or something dry. You don't wanna learn how to put on tire chains when you're out on the side of the road, and there's a blizzard coming by. That's gonna be not the best learning experience, and when you do have 'em out, just kind of check 'em over, make sure there's no damages to your links, and nothing's twisted up, and we wanna make sure this is in the right orientation, making sure these hooks are facing down on the ground. 'cause when we put 'em on here, they're gonna face up and away from our tires. You also wanna make sure this is facing the correct way, making sure that these yellow links are facing away from your vehicle, and this gray cord is facing towards your vehicle, and make sure this is kinda split down the center, so we can put it behind on either side. more

So I'd recommend doing that in a nice environment. You don't wanna figure out how to install these tires when on the side of the road and it's snowy and icy, and it's just gonna be a lot harder to figure out how to put 'em on. And we're gonna have them installed on our front tires, and our tire size is gonna be 235/65R18. Then to start off the installation, what I like to do is kinda do it in more of a clean environment. Nothing icy, snowy, because you don't wanna learn how to install these when you're on the road with a lot of ice and snow. So this is gonna be one of the best chains for your Suburban because you have premium features, although they are at a premium price. It's super easy to install. Now, depending on your tire size, though, this may be a little tricky, compared to some of the others of the same design. So when it comes to tire size we have this on the 265/65 R18. It's gonna be a little bit of a tight fit for this tire size, but I know that Suburban has some different options. more

So, the current chain I have here on the ground, and on our tire, is our diagonal cable chain. So, this is a popular style just because people like how low profile a cable chain is and how it still gives you traction without taking up too much space. Now, I have tried a bunch of different tire chains and I like to test fit them before I continue and I notice that this is a really, really, really tight fit on the Prius v. So, you can see here how we have this cable, and this is supposed to connect to the hook on the other side. more

The first thing you wanna do is lay out the chain and make sure that nothing's tangled up. These things often do come tangled, so just make sure everything's laid out nice and even. We've got the more abrasive side of these cross lengths here facing upward. more

The first thing you wanna do with these chains once you get 'em out of the bag is lay 'em out and make sure nothing's tangled up. A lot of times when they're first out of the bag these have a tendency to be all tangled up in each other or with each other in the pair, but these ones are looking good right now and we wanna make sure our cable that's coded is towards the back and we have identified this opening in between the two sections of chain. Titan Chain Diamond Alloy Snow Tire Chains Review- Video
Today, we're taking a look at the Titan alloy snow tire chains. These are your diamond pattern style chains and they are going to give you a much smoother ride compared to your ladder style chains. The ladder style are gonna give you a more effective start and stop, but the diamond style chains are gonna give you just better traction all around, since you have more coverage on the tire with the chains. And the square links on this specific model is going to give you better traction as well. These chains are made out of a nickel manganese alloy steel construction, so they are gonna be very durable, last a long time, as well as being corrosion and rust resistant. Main things that I like about this chain is that they are simple to install. more
